Job description

We are looking for an International Key Account Manager to join our sales team.

This role is based out of the Head Office in Gentofte with frequent travel to visit customers expected.

You will report directly to our CSO.

As Wheat’s new International Key Account Manager, you will own the commercial relationships with some of our most important key account partners — large e-tailers, department stores and multi-brand retailers across our key international markets. You will be in the driving seat of an exciting commercial journey — driving profitable growth on your accounts through strong seasonal sell-in, joint business planning and close in-season follow-up on sell-through and re-orders. This is a high-impact role in a portfolio that is already performing strongly, with significant further growth potential.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Own and deliver against the sales budget for your assigned key accounts, setting ambitious yet achievable targets and holding yourself accountable to results
  • Build and deepen long-term relationships with Wheat’s key accounts — large e-tailers, department stores and multi-brand retailers — acting as their primary commercial contact and a trusted brand ambassador
  • Negotiate trade terms, seasonal budgets and campaign participation in line with Wheat’s commercial strategy, while safeguarding brand positioning
  • Drive full-category penetration — across Footwear, Outerwear and Ready-to-Wear — both within existing accounts and through new business development
  • Lead compelling, best-in-class collection presentations that inspire partners and deliver strong seasonal sell-in results
  • Develop joint business plans with key partners — with clear targets for growth, assortment and brand visibility — and collaborate with Trade Marketing on account-specific activation that drives measurable sell-out performance
  • Proactively generate in-season re-orders by monitoring partner sell-out data and identifying restocking opportunities in a timely manner
  • Ensure Wheat is presented at its best across all touchpoints — from in-store fixtures and merchandising to online product listings and digital assets
  • Maintain a consistent presence with key accounts through regular visits and meetings, strengthening partnerships and staying close to market developments
  • Report regularly to the Chief Sales Officer on sell-in, sell-out and inventory performance, alongside insights into market trends, competitive activity and new business pipeline

 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience in key account management or a similar role within premium lifestyle, fashion, or footwear brands
  • Proven track record managing and growing large accounts such as e-tailers, department stores or multi-brand chains
  • Strong understanding of international fashion & lifestyle wholesale dynamics (seasonal calendars, market weeks, pre-collections) a must
  • Commercially astute, you have a flair for business opportunity/growth
  • Fluent in Danish and English —other languages a plus
  • Excellent relationship skills and outspoken – natural team player
  • Data driven – you can work with data and quickly process for actions
